Frank Hayes

Townland: Owenahincha

DOB: 29 December 1987

Height: 5’9”

Occupation: Business Information Systems Student

Favourite Position: H  Bench        F Full Forward

Junior Debut (Year and Opposition): I think it was a Junior A league game against Kilmeen in 2006 at Ballyva Stadium, the clubs second home.

Most memorable GAA Game: Although I wasn’t involved, reaching an All Ireland hurling final in 2005 was massive for the club. A minor football championship final game against Balinscarthy, although we lost, it was a pretty epic game.

Most memorable St. James GAA Moment: I’d say winning a West Cork U 21 football in 2005.

Earliest St. James’ GAA Club memory: Saturday mornings, playing parish leagues with really tight jerseys. (Sheehan)

GAA Player you admire most: Ciaran McDonald, has to be one of the best players not to win an All Ireland.

Best player you have played against: John Hayes

Best player you have played with: James Hayes

Honours won: U21 Football C’ship 2005, Various Underage League/Champ Medals. Three county, a Munster and an All Ireland Colleges with Mount St Micheal.

Greatest Influence on your career: The Underage Trainers, and especially Pearse O’ Sullivan who introduced me to the magic that is J4 football.

What you like most about St. James’ GAA club: Recent progress made, good auld bunch a lads.

Favourite St. James’ GAA Supporter: Donal Sheehan, some hero.

Any other comments you would like to include: Kevin O’ Leary is taking performance enhancing drugs. Look at the size of him sure, he’ll bursst.
