St James’ 0-12 Clann na nGael 0-6.
St James’ continued their junior-A football league campaign with a hard-earned victory over Clann na nGael in Ardfield last Sunday. On a heavy sod and against a strong wind in the first half, it was St James’ who were in the happier position at the break, leading 0-7 to 0-3. The second half continued in a similar vein, with defences limiting scores on both sides. The visitors played their best football in the third quarter and were within two points with ten minutes remaining. However, St James’ finished strongest, adding three points in succession to pull away at the finish.

St James’ U21 footballers commence their championship campaign against Tadhg MacCarthaigh next Friday (St Patricks Day) in Leap at 12pm. Supporters are urged to come out and give the lads every encouragement.
St James’ hosted the under-21 football championship game between Ballinascarthy and Kilmacabea last weekend. Next Sunday (19th) the club will host Ilen Rovers and Carbery Rangers in the U21 football championship. Throw-in at 3pm.
Huge congratulations to our superb representative, Laura Hodnett on qualifying in Recitation for the Scor County Final in Ovens. Well done to Laura and best of luck in representing St James in the County Final.
Football and hurling training continues for all ages this week with the U10 footballers getting ready to kick off this years underage league action against Newceston on Saturday.
A reminder that annual membership falls due around now, those who have paid by March 31st are entitled to be entered in draws for match tickets later in the season. The membership rates are tremendous value, included is an annual lotto ticket, and gym membership, various rates available to choose from, discuss options with club officers. Also anybody seeking a season ticket for SW championship games needs to get in contact with club secretary immediately. A passport size photograph will be required. The season ticket offers tremendous value. A new score board is to be erected at St. James’ Park, anybody who would like to sponsor the board and have their name erected over it should contact club officers immediately to discuss same.
